Is your home ready for an EV charger?
The checks that stop installation day from being delayed.

Most homes can have a 7kW charger fitted without fuss. A few quick checks beforehand mean the install goes smoothly on the day.
Your main fuse
Look at your electricity meter for the main fuse rating. 80A or 100A is ideal. Smaller fuses can still work with load management.
Your consumer unit
If it's old, plastic or has no spare way, it may need upgrading first. A photo is usually enough for us to tell.
The cable run
The distance from the consumer unit to the charger affects the price. Most installs are under 10 metres.
Off-street parking
You'll need a driveway or garage. Cables across a pavement aren't allowed.
Our charger quote asks about all of this and gives you a fixed price straight away.
