How long will I be without power?
Usually around half a day. We'll agree the time with you before we switch off.
Why does mine keep tripping?
Something on that circuit is leaking current or overloaded. We'll find the fault rather than just resetting it.
Is a plastic consumer unit dangerous?
Units fitted since 2016 must be metal or in a non-combustible enclosure. If yours is older and plastic, it's worth upgrading.
